About Neil Giuseppi
Neil Giuseppi is currently the Managing Director of Communications Specialists Limited, a firm of Public Relations Consultants which he founded in 1994.
He is a former News Director of T.T.T.
Neil joined T.T.T. on July 15th, 1971 as a Trainee in the News Department and rose to the position of News Director in 1975 following the departure of Yusuff Ali and Ed Fung.
Between 1975 and 1982, as Head of News and Current Affairs, he was one of the major newscasters on T.T.T.’s Panorama News Programme.
In 1982, he left T.T.T. to become Public Relations Manager of the Trinidad and Tobago Telephone Company.
In November 1990, he returned to the Media in the position of Managing Director of the Trinidad Broadcasting Company which operated two radio stations, Radio Trinidad and 95.1 FM.
In the early 1990s, when Government de-regulated the industry, he pioneered market segmentation in the electronic media in Trinidad and Tobago and conceptualised and launched Radio Tempo, the only all-Caribbean music station in the region at the time. He also served for three years as a Vice President of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union.
An avid sportsman who currently writes a weekly column on Golf for the Trinidad Guardian, Neil Giuseppi has served as Manager of the Trinidad and Tobago team to the Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships on three occasions, at Paradise Island in the Bahamas in 1989, in Barbados in 2001 and in St. Croix in 2002.
